Storm Ultimate Munitions: A Lancer RPG Homebrew
A downloadable mod
Do not seek us. The worthy are already within.
“We are notable for our unorthodox design process. For our unethical recruitment methods. Our final products are tested far less than our competitors. And, we are unrivaled at what we do.
Pilots put our frames through scenarios that would be impossible to test, and come out on the other side, again and again. We have faith in our product. We have faith in you, Lancer.
We were drawn to you, and you to us. An understanding beyond words. You’re not rank-and-file, and you never will be.” - Storm Ultimate Munitions advert
Storm Munitions produces some of the oldest in-operation Frames to-date. While their competitors rust and break, and reprint their missing parts, Storm Munitions considers themselves far above this. Each frame, weapon, system, and component is a uniquely crafted piece, a relic passed from mentor to disciple. Their frames tend to remain within families. An entire bloodline, built around a single frame, devoted to it, and its teachings, is not uncommon. Protected by secrecy, Storm Munitions’s frames’ unconventional styles are impossible to predict, and as such, they enjoy an absurd success rate. Very few of their frames are ever recovered by rival corps. None of them are ever understood.
The booklet in your hands is an expansion for Lancer RPG, using the same rules and systems. It is intended to work with vanilla Lancer without issue, and be adaptable enough to bring in other homebrew as well. Note, that with other homebrew, infinite loops and bugs can come up! These are fine. You’re smart - work them out. If something gives infinite damage, then let it happen! In return, maybe an "infinite damage gun" destroys itself after use once.
Always ask your GM before bringing homebrew to the table. Especially STUM. Storm Ultimate is intended to do very weird and complex things, all within the original Lancer framework. To GMs: this is your game! Feel free to pick and choose which pieces you want to use out of this booklet. There’s a lot, and the latter half needs much more testing before we’d officially endorse it.
STUM has been a labor of love. 2 years in the making, this expansion had all the fixings:
- 1 New Manufacturer with Logo
- 8 Unconventional Frames
- 5 Core Bonuses
- 6 Talents with Icons
- 1 Printer Friendly Booklet
- 1 Alternate ruleset for leveling, and introducing economy to your game
- 1 LCP working, regularly updated, with all of the above
All of it has been playtested, modified, playtested again, and modified again. STUM strives to do unusual and new things within the Lancer RPG system, while attempting to minimize difficulty of play. The final result I'm quite happy with - every frame I honestly love playing, and all major exploits have been removed while keeping all the flavor. This homebrew is weird, and should really add to the game while keeping the core experience there.
This project is currently 100% free. The art used for the frames is from Mony Pich, https://twitter.com/MonyPich2, waiting for approval. I do not claim ownership to any of their pieces.
I strive to be an active author, and I take feedback well. It can be submitted as a comment directly on the google doc: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1my16lVc_vfynBQhT5gBCdNT1lt_cBMUZKf2HFSdYpbE/...

This is fascinating work all around!
An issue arrived with the lcp, the icon is dead and so it shows the manufacturer twice along with some weird corrupted data-looking things. Everything works it just looks like its broken
It appears that the Manufacture icon has broken or something in COMP/CON and is no longer visible.
Surprisingly, the gdurl is still up! i'm pretty inactive, i'm not sure if maybe a COMPCON change may have altered how linked images work. I'll return to mess with it further - it isnt working for me either
I cant find weapon focusing in the systems was looking forward to using it for a Burn the world Build (Ignore me im a fool I realized its a mod and not a system)
